Hi! Really nice to meet you.

When people ask, "so why did you want to become an actor?", the opposite of what SHOULD happen to an actor happens to me: I don't know what to say.

But not because I don't have a reason, but because there are too many reasons.

I've been acting for as long as I can remember. My first role was as a 'naughty gnome' in a school play when I was about four years old. I wore red stockings and had to perform more somersaults than actual lines. Since then, I've played a young Irish boy, a fairytale dwarf, Alice in Wonderland, a scheming murderess, Shakespeare's Mercutio, Scout from To Kill A Mockingbird, a delusional king, an even more delusional lawyer, and so much more.

I used to think my unwavering passion for acting came from an inability to choose what I wanted to be, so I chose a profession where I could be anything. I don't think that's the reason anymore.

Now, when people ask, "so why did you want to become an actor?", I tell them that there is no reason other than acting itself.

Acting is my "why".
